METRA’s ADA paratransit service, “Dial-A-Ride,” provides origin-to-destination public transportation to eligible persons whose disabilities prevent them from using the fixed route bus for some or all trips. Dial-A-Ride is provided according to the U.S. Department of Transportation (DOT) Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) regulations.
Dial-A-Ride service is an advance-reservation, shared-ride service provided within 3/4 of a mile of METRA’s bus routes provided when METRA’s buses operate. Current non-holiday service hours are:
Monday - Saturday
4:30 AM - 8:30 PM, with last pick-ups at 7:30 PM
Two categories of service are available: ADA service and premium service.

ADA reservations can be made up to 14 days before travel and up to the day before travel by calling METRA at (706) 225-4596. The ADA permits METRA to offer pickup times one hour before or after rider trip requests, with some restrictions. See Dial-A-Ride rider guide for more information.
Premium service reservations can be made one day before traveling, Mondays through Fridays. On Saturdays and the day before holidays, reservations can be made 2–3 days before traveling. METRA may offer pickup times more than one hour before rider trip requests based on how much space is available on the ADA service. METRA may also place rider trip requests on a waiting list.
Individuals with disabilities that prevent them from traveling to/from bus stops or riding the bus must first apply to METRA for Dial-A-Ride eligibility. METRA’s policy regarding visitors is based on the ADA regulations (49 CFR 37.127(a-e)) and is for individuals with disabilities who reside outside METRA’s jurisdiction, plan to be in the area, and need Dial-A-Ride service temporarily, and have been certified by another transit system in another city are authorized to use METRA's Paratransit Services and are subject to METRA's operating requirements. Visitors are asked to call METRA at (706) 225-4596 for more information.

The one-way fare is $2.50 per person, payable by cash, stored value swipe cards, or Value Cards (a.k.a. Smart Card).
METRA's Reduced-Fare Cards are not accepted on Paratransit Service.
