A delinquent referral is a referral for an act that is designated a crime by the laws of this State, under federal laws, or by local ordinances, including certain traffic offenses. The act would have been committed by a child under the age of 17 years. Delinquency hearings are generally closed to the public, except in certain statutorily-mandated cases. If you would like access to a hearing or to record a hearing, you will need to file the appropriate motion in the Office of the Clerk of Juvenile Court.
