The Columbus Police Department is urging witnesses to come forward following a shooting that happened on January 18, 2025, around 10:50 p.m. in the drive-thru of McDonald’s (4121 Buena Vista Road).

On January 24, 2025, around 3:30 a.m., Columbus Police Officers were dispatched to a residence in reference to a report of a missing person.

On Thursday, February 6, 2025, an officer-involved shooting occurred in the area of 42nd Street and Lakewood Drive. Around 1:18 a.m., officers responded to a reported domestic dispute.

On January 5, 2025, the Columbus Police Department began investigating a report of inappropriate sexual communication between a juvenile female and an adult male.

On January 24, 2025 at 5:25 p.m., Columbus Police Officers responded to the 6500 block of Buena Vista Road regarding the discovery of a deceased individual. Upon arrival, officers found a Black male (later identified as Rashod Barrett, 17) deceased from a gunshot wound.

Columbus Police Officers responded to the 2000 block of Wynnton Road regarding a shooting. Upon arrival, officers located Cory Bell, 48, suffering from multiple gunshot wounds.

On January 20, 2025 at 7:23 p.m., Columbus Police Officers responded to a call in the 5100 block of Warm Springs Road (Kick N Chicken) regarding a stabbing.

On December 28, 2024 around 8:35 p.m., an armed robbery occurred at Best Beauty on Auburn Avenue. A male suspect entered the store armed with a pistol and stole an undisclosed amount of money before fleeing the scene.
