The Columbus Police Department is actively investigating a shooting that happened on January 9, 2025, in the 3900 block of Trask Drive. Officers responded to a 911 call around 3:45 p.m. and found a male victim with multiple gunshot wounds.

On January 9, 2025, at 8:03 p.m., Columbus Police Officers responded to a report of a school threat. The investigation began after a Calvary Christian School student received a text message referencing a potential threat.

On Sunday, November 7, 2021, Columbus Police Officers responded to a call regarding an unresponsive person in the area of 12th Avenue and 20th Street. Upon arrival, officers found Malik Easton, 28, deceased from multiple gunshot wounds.
