On March 29, 2025, Columbus Police Officers responded to a residence in the 1100 block of Curtis Street in reference to an individual who had been assaulted. Responding officers discovered a male (later identified as Topher MacQuire, 53) conscious and complaining of chest pain.
Speed Camera Enforcement Begins August 4th in Muscogee County School Zones

Beginning Monday, August 4, 2025, all school zones in the Muscogee County School District with active speed enforcement cameras will begin issuing citations. Warnings will no longer be given in the 20 active school zones.
Stone Way Drive Shooting Investigation

On Tuesday, July 22, 2025, around 5:54 a.m., Columbus Police Officers responded to a shooting in the 6100 block of Stone Way Drive. Upon arrival, they located a male victim (later identified as Hernandez Hubbard II, 21) inside the residence suffering from a gunshot wound.

Columbus Police Seeking Assistance Locating Wanted Individual

The Columbus Police Department is asking for the public’s assistance in locating Timothy Thomas Reeves, 20, who is currently wanted on multiple charges. Reeves is described as a white male, approximately 5’3” tall, weighing 125 lbs, with tattoos on his face and body.
