The Columbus Police Department’s Property Crimes Unit continues to aggressively investigate and address crimes that directly impact our community’s quality of life. In September 2025 alone, investigators arrested 28 individuals on a combined 220 charges.

The Columbus Police Department is excited to announce the return of Operation Cops & Treats, a safe and family - friendly Halloween event for the community. The Columbus Police Department’s Special Operations Unit joined forces with federal, state, and local partners during ‘Operation No Escape’, a six-week fugitive apprehension initiative that resulted in 177 arrests across Georgia.

On Monday, September 22, 2025, at approximately 6:43 p.m., Patrol Officers responded to the 1800 block of Susan Lane in reference to reports of shots fired. Officers arrived on scene and located several shell casings in the roadway but no victims.
